Borderline is a theatrical journey through life with Borderline Personality Disorders, through the lightness, the darkness, and the rawness of it all. Borderline is a theatrical production from RMIT Culture.

Two actors adrift in a audio-visual wonderland come to find the other side if a BPD diagnosis. Here, hurt becomes care and rock bottom becomes rock solid. In flipping the diagnostic criteria on its head, we begin to see how people living with Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis are capable of intense empathy, long-term relationships, and extraordinary resilience.

The visuals were played through the projector onto the cloth behind the actors.
The key concept for the visuals is vulnerability and ephemerality. The tension between the imagery of daily life glimpses underneath the oversaturated and bleak nature of the visuals emphasizes the struggle to belong of Borderline Personality Disorders: Images and colors struggle to emerge and as they do only remain fleetingly.
The footage was filmed on a Sony Camcorder and edited on Resolume Arena (for the overlay visuals) and Adobe Premier Pro.
